Recruiting is what makes DBD a larger community. There are many ways to do it, and they are all correct. This is just a basic guideline of what to cover while recruiting someone.
First ask people about wanting to join DBD:
- You can speak with them directly
- You can send out a message
Speaking with someone directly is considered better because you can befriend an individual and they will potentially become a better recruit. However, sending out a message is considered faster and can get in touch with more people faster._______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Tell them about DBD:
- What DBD is about
- Respect based
- Friends and fun
- Uncompetitive (for the most part)
- How many People
This will show the people the multiple reasons that they should join DBD. The more thorough of an explanation the better educated your recruit will be about DBD, and more than likely, more interested in being a huge part. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Explain the community:
- Explain the rules
- Explain the ranking structure
- Age limitation
It is not vital that you explain every individual rank or every individual rule. Briefly explain them and cover the more subtle rules and explain the structure briefly. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Uniform:
- The Primary Armor Color (not HD Division)
- The Motto
The uniform is obviously important. It shows people's placement in DBD. Some people may be argumentative about it. You probably do not want to recruit these people._______________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Gen Tag:
- Explain what the Gen Tag is for and why they need to add it.
- Make sure they know who the General is.
The explanation is pretty easy. Not many variations to it._______________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Website:
- www.dbdgaming.org
- Tell them about the forums
- Tell them about all of the information on the website

After you cover all of this, you are pretty much done. Again, these are just guidelines, you do not have to follow these exactly. It is essentially a guide booklet to keep you on track. Recruiting is a five to thirty minute process depending on how good you are, or if you take a lot of shortcuts. Also, you can recruit more than one person at a time.
